I always knew that Wellesley High was a great school. My husband Don Kelley, my daughters Caitlin Kelley
and Kara Kelley, my nephew David Kelley and nieces Kathryn Kelley and Charlotte Kelley all graduated
from Wellesley High School.

Wellesley had the first recycling center in America, opening in 1971. Now the new Wellesley High School has

Wellesley named first Green Power Community in Massachusetts.
During Hurricane Sandy several communities in the Greater Boston area suffered National Grid
or N-Star power outages. Last year, during Hurricane Irene, some town were without power for weeks. This did not happen in Wellesley. Wellesley is one of the few towns that has
its own Municipal Light Plant and the EPA has named Wellesley the first Green Power Community in Massachusetts.
